Hello world!

Hello and welcome to my brand spanking new blog! Yes, I finally did it. Truth be told however I actually wanted to wait till i can secure a webhost and domain name but things weren’t going so well in that endeavor and decided to just go with a free host on wordpress.com.

So what will this blog be about? Well for now it’s going to be about the things I love. I figured that it would be easier for me to write about stuff I’m actually into so expect to see a lot of posts about Japan, Anime, Otaku-ness and more Japan quirkiness. Also expect to see stuff about Music and guitars since everybody knows how much I love music and guitars. What I don’t what you guys to expect from this blog are more personal stuff. I don’t intend for this to be a journal or anything like that. No “Dear diary..” or “Today sucks boohoo…”. I am, however, very opinionated about the things I like so expect so expect a not-so-helpful splash of my own rants but I’ll try my best to keep things objective here.

Now I did planned for this blog to be a Journal of sorts for my efforts to learn Japanese and actually get my feet on Japanese soil. Ok maybe not a Journal but more like a place where I can post updates of my progress in that area. Wait, doesn’t that count as a journal? Right. Whatever. I also planned for this website to be a little more niche or specific but currently i have not decided how I’m going to accomplish that. Anybody out there who has any suggestions or ideas are welcomed to email me at hanifn-at-rocketmail-dot-com. And please feel free to leave as many comments as you like. They comments field seem like they could use the company.
